A MARRIAGE PROPOSAL WITH THE VESPA:
THE SYAM & SALLY MUSICAL

The web community has gone overboard for the mini-musical starring a young couple and their Vespa scooter. Their friends decided to immortalise the moment when Syam asked Sally to marry him, and to share the proposal with the rest of the world. The result is an original and romantic video, which, for a “homemade” production, has attracted great interest among websurfers (more than 228,000 clicks). The happy couple “act”, sing to Glee Glast’s “Marry You”, and dance surrounded by a festive corps de bridesmaids in a glorious burst of colour. Syam and Sally wanted to include the Vespa, their daily companion and witness to their happiness.
Applause goes to the couple’s friends who made this gift for them. They all have fond memories of the shoot – in the Putrajaya Botanical Garden, Malaysia: “We had a great time, even though the whole day alternated between sweltering heat and torrential rain. It was a wonderful experience; we were drenched, but we spent the whole time laughing.”

YOU AND YOUR VESPA
ON WIDE!

Every Vespa scooter, whatever its age, whatever the model, is a cult object, a collector’s item to be treasured, cared for and kept for years after any other vehicle would have finished its working life. The new WIDE feature “My Vespa Movie” is dedicated to everyone who rides off to work on a brand new Vespa every morning, to everyone who fondly conserves a Vespa handed down in the family from generation to generation, to everyone who lovingly cherishes a vintage Vespa.

MAKE YOUR
VESPA MOVIE!

Make a short video with your Vespa to tell us what the Vespa name means to you. You can tell the story of your scooter or recount a trip you’ve made together. You can include shots of daily life, or evoke the emotions you have shared.
The videos we select will appear on Wide, in the new feature “My Vespa Movie”, to present you and your Vespa, the most special scooter in the world, to Vespa devotees all over the globe. Because every Vespa story is unique.
