EICMA 2017, the international bicycle and motorcycle show, has confirmed its status as the leading tradeshow for the two-wheeler industry: the 75th edition, the best of recent years, recorded growth on all fronts: more than 1,700 exhibitors (+20%) from 42 countries; over 150 new product presentations and previews; an increase of 28% in foreign players; a 24% rise in visitors (estimated at 740,000) who crowded the halls of the Fiera Rho Milano exhibition centre (9-13 November 2017). And preparations have already begun on next year’s show, to be held from 6-11 November 2018: a date for the diary.
Meanwhile, here are some photos from the Piaggio Group’s impressive Eicma stand taken on 7 November, the first day of the show (reserved for the press and operators)): after the official opening, Eicma President Antonello Montante and Confindustria (national industrial association, ed.) President Vincenzo Boccia visited the Piaggio Group stand where they were welcomed by Chairman and CEO Roberto Colaninno and Deputy Chairman Matteo Colaninno.
The two Aprilia riders Aleix Espargarò (MotoGP; in the photo above the title, ed.) and Lorenzo Savadori (WSBK) were available for interviews and comments for the many journalists, photographers and TV operators, and enjoyed posing on Aprilia motorcycles and Vespa scooters, starting with one of the new entries for 2018: the Vespa Elettrica, which made its debut at the Milan show, and already has a super fan, Aleix!
