July 2019 – The official Moto Guzzi “The Clan” community is bubbling over with excitement over the upcoming annual big event. Here is what it has revealed to its members: “From 6 to 8 September 2019, the tranquil waters of Lake Como will once again turn choppy thanks to the roar of our ‘Made in Mandello del Lario’ engines during the annual Moto Guzzi Open House!
Of course, the Eagle guys simply had no choice but to think of us guys of the community first and reward us with a sneak preview of this event, just so that we can get a head start on organising our trip and get our hearts racing as we dream about the most highly anticipated weekend of the entire season!
THE STARS OF THE SHOW. It’s only just arrived but it has already become a legend: once again the Moto Guzzi V85 TT is set to be the queen of the ball and will be waiting to welcome us to the historic Moto Guzzi factory in Mandello del Lario, ready to clock-up a good few kilometres in test rides along the twisty roads around the fascinating Como Lake.
Alongside her, in a specially dedicated area, will be a number of the magnificent V7 III stars of the first season of the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy, together with their riders: topping the list will be The Clan Team’s No. 57 bike that’s currently holding our name up high thanks to the grit and determination of the 10 bikers selected by the Italian community. But that’s just the start! There will also be plenty of time and numerous opportunities to discover and find out more about some of the latest novelties and new initiatives that the Eagle guys have in the pipeline…
SOME INFO AND TIMES. So, it’s a date for Friday 6 September at 3:00pm, in front of the red gate in Via Parodi for the opening of the Moto Guzzi Museum and the Shop. From 9:30am on Saturday 7 September and Sunday 8 September, you’ll also be able to visit the production lines, the engine assembly department where the legendary twins are born, and the historic Wind Tunnel facility. The event activities will end at 6:00pm on all three days.
The Moto Guzzi Village will be the designated gathering point and the place to register for the test rides that will enable the guys to try out the 2019 range of models. As usual, original Moto Guzzi clothing, specialised gear and accessories will be on sale at the Moto Guzzi Shop. Obviously, there will also be the obligatory food and refreshment area, where food-trucks will be offering an extensive range of street foods.
SPECIAL “THE CLAN” EXPERIENCES. Needless to say, Open House has a very special place in the hearts of us guys of the community. We have been the stars of the show ever since The Clan was born and once again this year there will be loads of special experiences reserved specifically for us, including some of the old, much-appreciated classics – the community members will benefit from some dedicated services such as reserved parking, free bike check-up, welcome kit and discounts on the Moto Guzzi 2019 collection – as well as a few new surprises and unexpected goodies: we’ll know more about that very soon indeed! It’s time to draw a nice big eagle with splayed wings on your calendar: the call has gone out for everyone to join us at Open House, so all that remains to be done is for you to plan your trip and jump on your Moto Guzzi!
MOTO GUZZI EXPERIENCE MANDELLO TOUR (last few places left). Are you looking for a way to get to Open House in really grand style? There are still some places available for the two special Moto Guzzi Experience Mandello tours, in the form of ‘long-weekend’ and ‘week-long’ options, designed to enable you to discover the magnificent biking routes in this amazing area where the ‘Eagles’ have been racing around since way back in 1921. Obviously, the grand finale of the tours will be a triumphant arrival at Open House!”. Where we’ll talk about travel and adventure thanks to MG V85 TT and Moto Guzzi Experience, the adventure on the whole bikes range that is giving emotions to lovers of the on the road, the discovery of the territory and friendship.
