APRILIA AND MOTO GUZZI
TOP THE BILL AT MOTOR BIKE EXPO

APRILIA SHOWED ITS RANGE OF SPORTS MOTORBIKES, INCLUDING THE RSV4 AND TUONO V4, AS WELL THE SMALL HIGH PERFORMERS TUONO 125 AND RS 125. CENTRE STAGE WAS TAKEN BY THE FW-GP WITH AN ENGINE DERIVED FROM THE MOTOGP APRILIA.

CUSTOMISATION WAS THE THEME OF THE MOTO GUZZI STAND: A WORLD OF ACCESSORIES FOR PERSONALISATION PROJECTS AND THE PRESENTATION OF THE BEST SPECIAL MODELS, DIRECTLY FROM THE “LORD OF THE BIKES” TV PROGRAM.

The 2017 motorcycle season has opened with Motor Bike Expo, the top European event for the custom and special motorbike community, in Verona from 20 to 22 January, attended as always by two of the most distinguished Italian motorcycle brands: Moto Guzzi and Aprilia. The show was an unmissable opportunity for visitors to enter the Moto Guzzi and Aprilia worlds through exciting engagement activities organised by their respective communities, The Clan and #bearacer. Gift gadgets from the accessories and lifestyle collections were presented to true fans, and everyone had the chance to enjoy a Proraso “branded” shave in the Barber Shop corner.

MOTO GUZZI: V7 III, V9, MGX-21, CALIFORNIA TOURING.
The stars from Mandello del Lario were on display in Hall 4 at the Veronafiere exhibition centre, including the fully restyled V7 III, available in different versions (Stone, Special, Racer and the limited edition Anniversario); the V9 with advances in comfort, available in the Roamer and Bobber models with their distinct characteristics and personalities; the stunning MGX-21 bagger powered by an impressive 1400cc V-twin engine; the sumptuous and now even more luxurious California Touring.

Moto Guzzi also took part in an event devoted to custom and special bikes, as the star player in customisation. Thanks to its wide range of original accessories, the Moto Guzzi V7 III is particularly suitable for exciting personalisation projects, where bikers create their own made-to-measure two-wheelers. Interpreting this vocation, Moto Guzzi has also produced two special versions of the V7 III: Racer and Anniversario, the latter celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first V7.

GARAGE. The brand’s sensitivity to the world of personalisation is examined on GARAGEMOTOGUZZI.COM ( www.garagemotoguzzi.com), an online laboratory for aesthetic-functional experimentation, amply illustrated by the multimedia content on the website, the virtual gateway into the world of Guzzi customisation.

Starting from the two different souls of the V9, for lovers of the genre Moto Guzzi presented a set of accessories with the name “Dark Soul”, to give the V9 Bobber a more aggressive connotation. Given the great interest in personalisation, the Moto Guzzi stand exhibited a number of radically modified special bikes, from well-known preparers.

The superb Project 78 was an incredible restyling from OMT Garage based on the new V7 III and inspired by Mandello’s famous 8-cylinder. The Bike Expo show in Verona was the perfect stage for the presentation of the second season of Lord of the Bikes, the talent show that tests the expertise of the best professional customisers with Moto Guzzi bikes. After the success of the 2016 series, the program that took Moto Guzzi (and its historic headquarters in Mandello del Lario) to the small screen as a protagonist of personalisation, began airing its second season on 26 February on Sky Uno HD. The Moto Guzzi stand at Motor Bike Expo presented some of the specials created by the preparers who took part in the first season of the contest.

APRILIA: RSV4 AND FW, TUONO V4, DORSODURO 900.
In Hall 6, the Aprilia Racing GP truck re-created the paddock atmosphere in Verona, accompanying the exhibit of sports bikes. The jewel in the crown was the RSV4, in the 2017 version, a supreme super sports bike, a star of the SBK world championship since its debut (with seven championship titles already to its name); the Aprilia SBK rider Lorenzo Savadori was also there, delighted to meet his fans in Verona.

The Aprilia naked motorcycle dynasty was represented by the Tuono V4 and the model for younger riders, the new-entry Tuono 125, both designed for a thrilling experience on the road. Also present was the Dorsoduro 900, the fun bike from Aprilia with a completely overhauled engine offering more powerful torque, and a revamped chassis, which is now lighter and more effective for sports riding.

The Aprilia RSV4 has been taken to its most extreme expression in the “Factory Works” project, which offers everyone the winning Aprilia Racing technology from the top racing competitions, including MotoGP. The FW-GP is the maximum to which a rider can aspire: its engine offers pneumatic valve distribution for around 250 hp, and is based on the engine mounted on the bike that competed in the 2015 MotoGP season.
