An exhibition of rare vintage Vespa scooters in the hall of the Westin Excelsior Rome hotel, in the famous via Veneto; a Dolce Vita style photographic set, to imitate Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck riding a Vespa (in the multiple-award winning 1953 film “Roman Holiday”), with the Trevi Fountain as background; a famous 1950s cocktail, “Cardinale”, created at the time in this hotel (by the famous barman Raimondo), in an original version for the occasion. This is how the 50 years of Vespa Primavera (1968-2018) will be celebrated in Rome, until 11 July, working with Bici Baci rental and tours.

In addition to the guests of this prestigious hotel, the lobby of the Westin Excelsior Hotel will also be a destination for tourists, Romans and Vespa fans visiting the exhibition (which is open to the public) and enjoying the Vespa scooters in a unique atmosphere.

The exhibited models include a 1953 Vespa "Farobasso" 125cc (that Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn rode on around the roads of Rome in “Roman Holiday"), a 1968 Vespa Primavera ET3 125cc and the original Vespinfera 1960, hand-decorated by a young mosaic artist, Giorgia Lattanzi. At the end of the exhibition, visitors can “dress up” using a number of Dolce Vita accessories and take a photograph.

A view of heart of Rome: Piazza di Spagna and the Trinità dei Monti flight of steps.

The hotel (www.westinrome.com/it) is one of the classic and most majestic buildings in the city, in one of the capital’s most famous streets, Via Veneto, set between major attractions such as Piazza di Spagna and Villa Borghese.
