Mandello del Lario (Italy), 4 September 2019 - The 2019 edition of the Moto Guzzi Open House is about to be staged, which will enliven the Mandello del Lario plant, the heart of the event, from 6 to 8 September. The opening of the legendary red gate of via Parodi 57 is the most awaited moment: it is the ritual that celebrates the beginning of the biggest party dedicated to all Guzzisti and lovers of beautiful Italian motorcycles.
Friday, September 6th at 3:00 pm we start with the opening of the Shop and guided tours of the Moto Guzzi Museum, where 150 of the rarest and most representative Moto Guzzi specimens are kept. Even more ample are the exhibition spaces planned to exhibit the Moto Guzzi range, where the magnificent and latest V85 TT, the "Tuttoterreno" (“All terrain”) by Moto Guzzi dedicated to motorbike tourism without borders, stands out.
Saturday 7 is the day of the big news of the Road to Mandello, the parade led by the Guareschi brothers dedicated to all those who want to reach Mandello del Lario on their Moto Guzzi. On the website www.motoguzzi.com the dedicated registration page is on-line; the meeting is scheduled at 09:00 am at the parking lot of the Breda Stadium in Via Giosuè Carducci in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan).
The program of guided tours of the Moto Guzzi factory starts at 10:30. The following are open to the public: the engine assembly areas, the vehicle assembly line, in which each specimen is assembled by hand; the historic Galleria del Vento (Wind Channel), designed and built in the early 1950s as the first such structure for aerodynamic study applied to motorcycles.
Rich is the schedule of interventions, talk shows and special guests that will take turns on the stage set up inside the Moto Guzzi Village, animated by the music of Virgin Radio. Also this year there is the Barber Shop station curated by Proraso with Tonsor Club, while the refreshment is ensured by Street Food, thanks to the presence of different mini-trucks able to realize gourmet quality dishes on the spot with a wide choice linked to the best tradition of Italian cuisine.
Inside the Village there is an area dedicated to the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance, the single-brand trophy that allows, in the saddle of the V7 III, to rediscover the taste of racing in a team spending little and having a lot of fun. There is also a space reserved for the Moto Guzzi Experience, the exclusive all-inclusive travel program riding Moto Guzzi.
At 09:30 from the center of the Village test rides start. All the models in the Moto Guzzi range are available, along a route designed to enhance the quality of the Lario motorcycles, accompanied by the wonderful landscapes offered by Lake Como.
In this edition of Open House the space available for the Eagle Shop has further increased and the already rich offer of original clothing and merchandising is growing. Sunday 8, opening to the public is always at 09:30 with the start of guided tours. At the same time the first test rides start and the Shop is also open.
