Gijón (Spain), 6 May 2025 - Yesterday saw the end of the big Vespa World Days 2025 weekend - the annual gathering of national Vespa Clubs from around the world, held in Gijón, Spain. The Vespa World Days is the most important date in the calendar for Vespa fans all over the world, a unique moment that brings national Vespa Clubs together to continue the long tradition of EuroVespa, an event first held in 1954.

The city in the Asturias region successfully hosted a major gathering of Vespa lovers from every corner of the planet: on Saturday 3 May, the traditional Vespa Parade comprised more than 4,000 Vespas of all models and decades, from 38 different countries. A colourful snake wound its way through the green hills of Asturias, with stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean.

This edition also saw attendees compete for the Vespa Trophy - the challenge was reserved for the most daring Vespa riders, who travelled to Gijón on their faithful Vespas. Participants tracked their itinerary with photos and official stamps in their Travel Books, documenting every stage of their journey to northern Spain. Alongside them, on the roads of Europe, the official Piaggio Network played a key role: the extensive coverage enabled local dealers to welcome Vespa fans along the way, serving as checkpoints and providing assistance to travellers making their way to the Vespa World Days event. Of the many teams participating - from a total of 16 different countries - the Vespa Club Ferrara was particularly notable, with four fantastic riders.

The Vespa Club Roma also took second place on the podium, followed by the Vespa Club Trento. Meanwhile, Carmine Sapio from the Vespa Club Melfi received the Lone Rider award.

In addition to the spectacular Concours d'Elegance, continuing the tradition started last year, the Gymkhana World Cup was also held on the Friday, revisiting this classic formula - not only as a timed trial, but also as a true test of Vespa riding skill.

All winners and rankings will be available shortly on the Vespa World Club website: www.vespaworldclub.org
