June 2021 – The public greeted the return of two-wheeler shows with enthusiasm and participation. The shows livened up the month of June in complete safety, partly thanks to the open-air organisation methods. The presence of the most important international brands, events and test rides marked a relaunch under the banner of optimism and the desire to get back in the saddle on bikes and scooters. Kicking things off was “Motorama Madrid 2021 - Salón Comercial de la Motocicleta”, opening at the Pabellón de Cristal-Recinto Ferial Casa de Campo in the Spanish capital from 4 to 6 June, with a positive turnout of over one hundred exhibitors and 11 thousand visitors.

The outdoor stand dedicated to the Piaggio Group bike and scooter brands was there, where the new products in the range were presented (the Aprilia RS 660 was extremely popular). Worth a mention is the tribute to Vespa’s 75th anniversary on Sunday, 6 June, with an exhibit of the most significant models from its history, set up at the prestigious Hotel Apartosuites Jardines De Sabatini.

MIMO - Milano Monza Motor Show - 10 to 13 June 2021 in Milan and Monza – presented all the news from over 60 participating car and motorcycle manufacturers. With its democratic format, where the brands all displayed their new products on identical platforms, MIMO decided to send a signal of relaunching for the world of shows and the automotive sector with free entry to the exhibit in complete safety. MIMO Open-Air Motor Show was a proper anthem to the mobility of today and the future with 120 installations set up in the centre of Milan along a route that wound its way around for almost 3 kilometres, from corso Vittorio Emanuele to piazza Duomo, by way of via Dante, via dei Mercanti, piazza Cordusio and, last but not least, piazza del Castello Sforzesco.

MIMO told the story of the automotive sector with an outdoor stroll, along which more than 60 manufacturer brands “spoke” with the passers-by through their works, where visitors could admire symbols of maximum technological expression in terms of sustainability, safety and comfort, design, and performance. A virtual dialogue, in observance of physical distancing, made possible thanks to the QR code technology placed on each platform which allowed visitors to view the page reserved for each model, with technical data sheets, images, videos and links to contact the manufacturers. Technology also allowed “home delivery” of the MIMO installations thanks to the images and videos uploaded to the event’s website (www.milanomonza.com).

The Piaggio Group participated with Aprilia, with the new RS 660, and Moto Guzzi, with the V85 TT in the special Centennial livery.
