November 2019 – In the Piaggio Group exhibit area at Eicma 2019 (Milan), the special edition Moto Guzzi V85 TT “Orizzonte” (“Horizon”) drew attention and admiration. This is a concept bike made by Filippo Barbacane, founder of Officine Rossopuro (a well-known Italian motorcycle customization workshop).
Filippo explains: “The new V85 TT is an excellent base, built very well and especially very simple and clean in assembly! The thing I focused on the most was making it as light as possible, but without compromising use and reliability.
So, we arrived at a kerb weight of 188 kg. Body entirely in aluminium and many special, custom-made parts. Thanks to @bitubosuspension for the suspension, ultra-adjustable rear and cartridge front specially created. And naturally, thanks to @mass.exhausts for the splendid 2-in-1 exhaust that I had to struggle to get into the frame, but which they make perfectly, as always.”
Filippo Barbarcane was also protagonist of the talk show with Aldo Barberini (director of the Ferro magazine), dedicated to the theme of customisation, held in the Piaggio Group stand (7 November 2019).

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET. On a Moto Guzzi V85 TT base, Orizzonte is a creation by customisation workroom Officine Rossopuro, design and creation by Filippo Barbacane; the body is in hand-crafted aluminium.
The special head-protector parts were also created by Rossopuro; LED lights, Mass Moto exhaust; Bitubo suspension; Highsider accessories; modified frame; aluminium air box, Lithium battery, the total weight of the concept bike comes in at 188 kg. Filippo Barbacane comments: “The details! They are what make the difference. When you do a job like this,, it can take just a few days to draft everything, but then months to finish it all. The frame was not deeply modified, precisely to demonstrate its authenticity and simplicity. It was a lot of hard work completed in half the time necessary. In fact, I still have work to do on it!” But, the result presented was already applauded at the show by the general public, the press, experts and enthusiasts in the sector.
Filippo concludes: “Thanks to @motoguzzi for having given me this chance to be the first ever to modify a V85TT. It is a type that has won me over by now - the unusual idea of combining customising with useful and usable vehicles has become a fixation for me!”
