THE BIANNUAL MEETING, DEDICATED TO THE MOTO GUZZI SPORT 15, NOW IN ITS 4th EDITION, WAS A SUCCESS. IT ATTRACTS NOT ONLY THE NOSTALGIC, BUT ALSO YOUNG “GENTLEMEN RIDERS”. A PASSION THAT HAS BEEN HANDED DOWN FOR 88 YEARS.
September 2019 – The 1st of September was the day of the big, global rally dedicated exclusively to the Moto Guzzi Sport 15: all the timeless charm of a pre-war bike that has thrilled and united generations for 88 years. This superb, ground-breaking bike, launched at the 1931 Milan Show, was produced until 1939 with less than 6,000 units made, and it is greatly loved and sought-after by collectors (the most valuable units are appraised at close to € 30 thousand!).
The exclusive numbered lithograph, signed by the artist Katia Mercurio, distributed to the participants of the Rimini rally. It is already a collector’s item.
The (itinerant) meeting is organised every two years – 2019 was the fourth edition – and promoted by the untiring enthusiasm of the Guzzisti (Guzzi fans) of the club Il Clan del Volano (here the nice video spreaded by Claudio Bonalberti):
The 2019 event was organised (impeccably, as the numerous participants who came from all over confirmed) in collaboration with Il Velocifero bike club (vintage cars and bikes). Here are some of the best images of the Rimini rally and of Guzzisti with their beloved Sport 15 machines. Many then participated in subsequent events, beginning with the Moto Guzzi Open House (6-8 September 2019 in Mandello, the Moto Guzzi’s native land).
