INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES: PIAGGIO IS MOVING TO THE CLOUD!

April 2024 (G.T.) – An important project in the Piaggio Group’s Information & Communication Technologies area, is under development. Vittorio Boero, Chief Information Officer (CIO) Piaggio Group, illustrates it: “Continuing on the path started in 2022, we are about to implement, in the month of April, the first step in the transition to the cloud of Piaggio's IT infrastructures, abandoning the classic ‘on premises’ and ‘private data center’ configurations used up to now. The project, which will develop over 18 months, with defined milestones, had its Kick-off last October 2023 and will see the progressive migration to the Microsoft AZURE Cloud.”

What are the main benefits? “The expected benefits for Piaggio Group can be summarized as follows: Improved “Time to market”: greater ability to quickly launch new projects, test new ideas and design new applications by overcoming hardware procurement time constraints.
