Lupfig (Switzerland), May 2019 – At the beginning of May, the OFRAG Vertriebsgesellschaft company (the Piaggio Group’s long-standing Swiss importer) opened Switzerland’s first Motoplex store at its location in Hübelacherstrasse 1, Lupfig.
Emotions from the two-wheeler world in the new flagship store. The new Motoplex – in the large 750 sq.m location – is ready to delight visitors by welcoming them to a whole world of genuine emotional experiences. From the legendary urban style of the Vespa and Piaggio brands to the epic adventures of Moto Guzzi, and the adrenalin-packed Aprilia superbikes. Visitors will be offered a full immersion in the highly evocative worlds of the Piaggio Group. In addition to the extensive range of scooters and motorbikes from the four prestigious Italian brands – Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio and Vespa – the store also presents a full selection of original spares, accessories, clothing and lifestyle items.
Two parties: Motoplex and OFRAG Retail. The official opening ceremony of the new Motoplex, with guests and representatives from the media, was held on Thursday 2 May 2019. This was followed by an "Open Day" for the public on Friday 3 May. As part of the festivities, OFRAG Vertriebsgesellschaft was also celebrating the launch of the new Moto Guzzi dealer, OFRAG Retail. In a way, this takes OFRAG back to its origins, those of "Otto Frey Velos-Motos", the famous dealer established in Zurich in 1936.
OFRAG Retail is one of the 32 Moto Guzzi dealers and service centres in Switzerland. Store Manager Richard Schmidlin conducts his dealership in the exclusive and refined setting of the Motoplex flagship store. Given that the importer’s warehouse is in the same building, he expects to benefit from immediate availability of spare parts. In addition to the sale of Moto Guzzi vehicles, OFRAG Retail will offer the usual dealer services, such as test drives and assistance in the company’s workshop. An all-round professional service.
