February 2025 (G.T.) – The unmistakable lines, the design that evolves but always pays homage to the forefather. Vespa continues to inspire artists. Here the latest confirmation from Poland. Łukasz Karcz some days ago wrote to Piaggio: I am a painter who loves Italian classics with a touch of modernity. I paint pictures on various topics, and now I would like to present you my last work of Italian themes called ‘Italian Icon of mobility’. This painting is a tribute to your Vespa, which delights the whole world like an automotive icon. I am convinced that my works will enrich any interior and emphasize its unique style and character.”

Wide magazine interviewed him, and here is what the artist says about himself.
LUKE AND HIS ARTISTIC VISION: Lukasz (Luke) Karcz is an artist born in Poland, Krakow in 1981. He has been painting in oil for 22 years, and in 2008 he founded the PEINTRE Painting Studio, in Krakow, Poland, which is the owner. He is an artist who creates in the convention of realistic painting and impressionism, but his painting is also a modern approach depending on the topic presented.

THE ORIGIN OF HIS ITALIAN THEMES. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Art at the Pedagogical University of Krakow and a member of the Association of Painters and Graphic Artists. Over 1,000 of his paintings are in private and institutional collections around the world. The artist often presents Italian themes in his works, and his passion for Italy was instilled in him by his grandfather and master painter, Wlodzimierz Karcz.

PASSIONATE OF MOTORING AND… VESPA! There was always an Italian flag hanging in his studio. He is also passionate about motoring, which has often been the subject of his paintings. The love for Italy and the automotive industry resulted in the painting "Italian Icon of Mobility", which is a tribute to the world-famous Vespa scooter. The choice of the vintage GS model is related to admiration for the classic style, which invariably amazes with its beauty and timeless style. The artist has repeatedly portrayed the beloved vehicles of their owners and always does so with great joy, and through painting they can enjoy twice as much and survive in their memory much longer.

AND IDEA TO REACH HIS DREAM VESPA… Lukasz does not have his own Vespa yet, but he hopes to change that because he has always admired this scooter for its unique character. The artist is currently preparing a jubilee of his creative work titled "Italian Inspirations". By the way, who knows? Maybe he will exchange the "Italian Icon of Mobility" for his dream Vespa.
