Milan, Rho Fiera, 6 November 2018 – The Piaggio Group’s large new stand at the 76th International Bicycle, Motorcycle and Accessories Show (Fiera Milano-Rho exhibition centre, 8-11 November 2018) presented a host of new products to meet the most diverse biker needs, preferences and styles, whether road or off-road. Beginning with the Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory, preview tested on the Imola race track by champion Max Biaggi: “I’ve tried the best of the best,” he commented at the press conference. “An extra 100cc and a lower weight: a motorbike you really savour, even at low speeds.”
And continuing with the Aprilia RS 660 concept project unveiled by Romano Albesiano (Head of Road Racing Technology & Sport Management) together with Max Biaggi: “A real innovation,” said the head of Aprilia Racing, “a forerunner of the new family of fantastic mid-range Aprilia bikes: pure Aprilia spirit.” “It’s fantastic, innovative, it’s difficult to create something so appealing,” commented Max.
The parade of Aprilia emotions continued with the Tuono V4 1100 RR and Factory, the Shiver 900 and the tough “little” SX 50 and RX 50.

For the first time on a factory superbike, Aprilia introduces aerodynamic winglets on the fairing, thanks to the developments made by Aprilia Racing on the RS-GP prototype from which they are derived. The particular shape designed in the wind tunnel and the inclination at which they are mounted take advantage of the down force of the channelled air to let the winglets increase stability at high speeds, contributing to decreasing the tendency for wheelies coming out of turns and at the same time increasing stability in hard braking.
