19 September 2019 – Launched exactly one year ago in New Delhi (India), the sporty Aprilia SR 150 Race scooter, has drawn lots of attention during its first year of life. Flaunting a livery with the colours of the Italian flag in perfect racing style, it has convinced itself that it is a motorbike. It isn’t its fault, really. The fact is, that others have made it believe this to be true, inviting it to the big “Aprilia All Stars” international event (March 2019) at the Mugello circuit, where World Championship GP Motorcycle Racing is held.
For the occasion, the gritty RS150 Race was protagonist of a dedicated track race, battled out by big motorcycling champs of yesterday and today. Then it participated in the photo shoot with the Aprilia Racing riders and then it took part in the final parade with 500 bikes.
It feels so much at ease with its “big sisters”, like the Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono V4 bikes, that there is no way to convince it that it is a scooter, albeit truly very sporty, perfect for young racers.

SR 150 Race is part of a complete range which includes the Aprilia models SR 125, SR 150 and the SR 150 Carbon version.
And in the Aprilia SR “family”, standing out is in the DNA. Some examples? The “little brother”, the SR 125, boasts more than 13,573,000 views of its exciting video, launched last year.
Another undertaking worth a mention is the one tackled by a young engineer who crossed India astride his Aprilia SR 150, reaching the Kardhung La Pass, all the way to the top of one of the highest “paved” roads in the world, on the Ladakh mountain chain at 18,379 feet above sea level, equal to more than 5,600 metres high.
