Milan, 25 November 2025 – One of the most eagerly awaited additions to the compact commercial vehicle segment, the fully electric Piaggio Porter NPE is available at dealerships.
Compact and comfortable thanks to its new interior, high-performing, equipped with new ADAS features and compliant with the latest passive-safety and cybersecurity standards, Porter NPE retains all the qualities that made the Porter a success, now paired with fully electric propulsion.

Piaggio Porter NPE provides the ideal solution for all business needs, allowing companies to operate responsibly with respect for the environment, even in the most challenging situations.
The new fully electric Porter also introduces an important innovation: factory-fitted configurations are now available directly at dealerships. Besides the classic chassis version, which is ready to be adapted to any need, the Fixed Bed, Tipper Bed, and Tipper Bed with Extended Side Panels variants are now available and ready for use.

The new ﬁtted versions of the Porter NPE feature:

A high-strength galvanised-steel structure with powder coating, and aluminium side panels opening on three sides.
An electro-hydraulic tipping system equipped with a mobile control panel on the tipping models.
Mesh-style extended 600 mm high side panels (on the version fitted with them).
Payloads up to 880 kg (fixed bed), 790 kg (tipper bed) and 730 kg (tipper bed with extended side panels).
Load beds up to 2,800 mm long and 1,620 mm in internal width.
Loaded floor height up to 850 mm and side-panel height of 400 mm (plus 600 mm for the extended side panels).

The core of the new Porter NPE is the Electric Drive Unit (EDU), a compact system that combines the electric motor, inverter and transmission components. This solution is designed to deliver high performance and maximum efficiency while minimising weight and overall size. The system, conceived in this way, provides the customer with high, consistent and long-term performance.

The Porter NPE’s power output (150 kW peak and 60 kW continuous) is matched by an equally impressive torque figure (342 Nm peak and 128 Nm continuous), ensuring top-level performance even on challenging inclines, including from a standstill.

The electric propulsion system drives the Porter NPE to a top speed of 90 km/h, ideally suited for the intended use of the new City E-Truck. Likewise, the range – up to 250 km (urban cycle) – meets the expectations for a vehicle that combines strong performance with compact size, agility and ease of use.

These performance levels, combined with the sturdy chassis, make it easy to handle payloads up to 1,050 kg. Rear-wheel drive – which ensures natural, improved weight distribution and strong performance even on uphill drives – adds to the Porter NPE’s dynamic capabilities. Power comes from a 42 kWh, 350-volt LFP (Lithium–Iron–Phosphate) battery, covered by an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty. It is a high-performance unit with a long lifespan, highly efficient across temperature ranges, and very safe—thanks to the inherent thermal stability of LFP chemistry and its protected placement between the chassis rails. Charging can be done in both standard (AC) and fast-charging (DC) modes, with the latter charging the battery from 20% to 70% in just 30 minutes.

Porter NPE, an ideal size. The Piaggio Porter NPE is designed to maximise load capacity while maintaining its compact size and agility. Its comfortable cab measures 1,640 mm in width, which is at least 500 mm narrower than a typical light commercial vehicle. The use of a compact cab also allows the Piaggio Porter NPE to maximise payload. In its most streamlined setup, the Piaggio Porter NPE – like the entire Porter NP6 family – has a footprint of just 6.9 m², with a chassis payload of up to 1,050 kg.

The entire Porter NPE design guarantees high safety standards. Porter NPE also meets the latest, strictest cybersecurity and cyberattack protection regulations.

Colour range. The new Porter NPE is now available through the Piaggio Commercial network. The colour range extends from the neutral tones of Marble White to the brighter, more vibrant Amber Orange and Jade Green, as well as the classic Opal Blue, an elegant nod to Piaggio’s Italian heritage.
