Rimini, 10 November 2018 – A great success for Ecomondo with Key Energy 2018, a leading international showcase for materials and energy recovery and sustainable development. During the event (the 22nd, held in Rimini from 6 - 9 November), the entire exhibition centre – 129,000 square metres – was completely occupied by the exhibitors, with an increase of 4% in the number of professional buyers.
The show was a success in terms of international exhibitors too (10% of the total), with players coming in from 115 countries: 70% from Europe, 9% from the Mediterranean basin, and significant participation from China and the Russian Federation as well.
The four-day event, involving businesses, institutions, markets, and a rich program of side events, attracted intense media coverage and generated approximately 170 million contacts. Ecomondo and Key Energy have confirmed their position as a leading business platform for the international green economy: the exhibitions on the circular economy and renewable energy provide a reference for European business and institutions in the transition towards an economy offering growth prospects. The next editions of Ecomondo and Key Energy will be held from 5-8 November 2019, at the Rimini exhibition centre.

The halls hosting technological and industrial solutions for the new economy included players of excellence like Piaggio Commercial Vehicles, a fixture at Ecomondo. The Piaggio Group’s commercial vehicles business unit proved itself an outstanding presence in its sector, with a welcoming new professional stand where visitors were able to examine the Porter Maxxi Chassis with its new Euro 6C bifuel LPG engine.
Creativity on the stand was particularly original this year, with the reproduction on the glass panels and walls of an urban environment, the main area of operation of the Porter range.
The Chassis is available in many versions to meet the most diverse user needs: from public services to building construction and maintenance, from mobile shops to special transportation services, providing complete safety even in the busiest and narrowest city streets.
