VESPA YACHT CLUB. The elegant Italian style typical of Vespa encounters the fascinating world of yachting and sailing: this pairing of elegance and finesse is the wellspring of the new special series Vespa Primavera Yacht Club and Vespa GTS Yacht Club, developed using the technical specifications of the latest small and large frame Vespas.
Vespa Primavera Yacht Club, available in 50 and 125 cc versions, and Vespa GTS Yacht Club, available in 125 and 300 cc versions, stand out for their white colour, embellished with numerous blue details. These include, besides the special graphics on the chassis, the rims, varnished an opaque blue with a special diamond finish, the "tie" on the front shield, also opaque blue with chrome ornaments, and the rubber inserts on the floorboard.
But the distinctive element of the Yacht Club special series is without a doubt the saddle, featuring a never-before-seen motif with white and blue stripes inspired by traditional, authentic sailing décor. It's the first time in Vespa history that a saddle takes on such an innovative look. The white edge that runs around the perimeter of the saddle and the plate with the Yacht Club logo placed on the rear shield complete the personalisation and highlight the attention given to even minute details.
VESPA NOTTE. The Vespa Notte special series is dedicated to those who the love attention to detail and meticulous finish of high quality products that are a pleasure to own and show off. Vespa Notte is the special series available for Vespa Sprint (50 and 125 cc versions) and for Vespa GTS Super (125 and 300 cc versions) and is therefore based on the technical and mechanical foundation of the most recent large and small frame Vespa scooters.
The name selected for this series is a fitting introduction to its décor, characterised by total black graphics. The "night-time" style pairs the beautiful new opaque black of the chassis with numerous glossy black details, including the mirrors, the ornaments of the classic "tie" on the front shield, the handlebar ends, the passenger handle and the extractable footpegs of the GTS Super Notte. Refined details include a saddle dedicated to each model and a plate with the logo placed on the rear shield. The rims and muffler guard are also glossy black.
FOUR ENGINES. Vespa Primavera Yacht Club and Vespa Sprint Notte are available with two very different modern engines, a 50 cc and 125 cc, which are part of the cutting edge family of Piaggio i-get engines. The 50 cc engine is an air-cooled four-stroke engine equipped with electronic injection and 3-valve distribution. It is the fruit of a design that aims to maximise quality and reliability and allow for an extraordinary reduction in fuel consumption and emissions; the perfect engine to power the first vehicle of the youngest drivers, who will certainly appreciate the shining uniformity and outstanding cost efficiency.
The 125 is the head of the i-get engine family: it too is a single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine equipped with electronic injection and 3-valve distribution. Each detail from the exhaust to the inner structure of the transmission casing was designed to provide a smooth, quiet, and comfortable ride. A remarkably environmentally friendly engine capable of performance at the top of its category: the power and maximum torque of the i-get 125 cc engine are 7.9 kW at 7,700 rpm and 10.4 Nm at 6,000 rpm respectively, figures that work with the proverbially light weight of all Vespa scooters to give the Vespa Sprint Notte a particularly lively acceleration.
The Vespa GTS 125 Yacht Club and Vespa GTS 125 Super Notte are equipped with the most advanced engine in the i-get family: a four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with electronic injection, 4-valve distribution and liquid cooling: at the top of its category in terms of performance, reduced fuel consumption and reduced emissions. This unit comes with Piaggio's patented Start & Stop system, which eliminates the traditional starter, replacing it with a brushless "direct mount" electrical device installed directly on the crankshaft. There are many advantages: quieter starts, lower weight, greater reliability, and lower fuel consumption. Piaggio's Start & Stop system automatically switches off the engine 3 to 7 seconds after the scooter has stopped (depending on whether the engine has reached its correct operating temperature or not). A minimal rotation of the throttle is enough to instantly re-start the engine, absolutely silently, as there is no traditional starter.
Finally, Vespa GTS Yacht Club and Vespa GTS 300 Super Notte have a modern, high tech, single cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid cooled, electronic injection engine capable of putting out 15.6 kW (21.2 hp) at 7,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 22 Nm at just 5,000 rpm. Such figures ensure prompt acceleration and particularly brilliant performance, making the large frame special version Vespa the perfect vehicle to move about comfortably both in city traffic and for outdoor travel.
