THE “PIAGGIO PORTER EXPERIENCE” EVENT IN DÜSSELDORF: DISCUSSIONS AND EXCHANGES WITH DEALERS AND OUTFITTERS ON INNOVATION AND NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

May 2026 (G.T) – Düsseldorf, Germany. As part of the “PIAGGIO Porter Experience”, PIAGGIO Commercial Deutschland invited German dealers and bodywork specialists from Germany, Italy and the Netherlands to its company headquarters in Düsseldorf. The focus of the event was on innovative configurations, with in-depth discussions and exchanges of ideas on the sector and on the joint development of potential new uses for the Piaggio Porter NP6 and the 100% electric Piaggio Porter NPE.

Piaggio Porter vehicles on display in a special location: an industrial space that hosts events in Rheinhöfe, near the Piaggio Deutschland/Piaggio Commercial Deutschland headquarters in Düsseldorf. The focus is on the new Porter NP6 and 100% electric Porter NPE outfitted models.

A range of national and international vehicle outfitters showcased their custom solutions, demonstrating the incredible versatility of Piaggio’s compact commercial vehicle. Among others, Meiller, Buddy Star, Cold Car, LoadrPro, Pinto Allestimenti, Snow Service, Socage and Urban Fahrzeugbau were present at the event, and the vehicles on display ranged from vans, tippers and refrigerated lorries to aerial work platforms and specialist solutions for the municipal and urban sectors.

The event presented new opportunities for German dealers taking part in terms of customer engagement, as well as offering great potential across a range of sectors: from local authorities and the artisan segment through to gardening and landscaping companies and urban logistics and service providers.

Buddy Star presented an innovative food truck set-up (see photo above headline, Ed.) that offers an appealing entry point into the growing mobile catering sector and opens up new target groups for dealers.

Particular attention was also paid to the Porter Snow Service (a vehicle fitted out for winter snow-clearing operations, with a ‘modular’ system that also offers road-cleaning solutions) and the Loadr Pro Box, both on the Porter NPE.

In addition to the vehicles presented, the event was also an excellent occasion for networking. Dealers and outfitters took the opportunity to meet, exchange opinions, establish new partnerships and work together to develop solutions for the future needs of their customers.

Whilst in the past the focus was primarily on municipal applications, today the wide range of outfitting options opens the door to greater possibilities for using these vehicles in many other sectors, which in turn provides dealers with new potential for growth,” commented PIAGGIO Commercial Deutschland.

Francesca Mazzaccheri, Head of Commercial Vehicle Division in Piaggio Deutschland, added: “The ‘Piaggio Porter Experience’ event (held on 28 and 29 April 2026) was an original and highly successful initiative, uniting the Piaggio Commercial team, dealers and outfitters, enabling them to talk about the power of social media and create content (photos and videos) for use across their communication channels.

We began by addressing the new prospects offered by AI, encouraging those in attendance to make the most of their websites and social media channels, and to understand the importance of the new tools available for potentially reaching a wider audience of new customers.

On this occasion, we exhibited all of Porter’s new set-ups at Rheinhöfe, in an industrial space next to our company headquarters, which attracted a lot of interest.

With the support of the dealers (who provided the vehicles) and the outfitters, we demonstrated the broad potential of the Porter NP6 and NPE ranges. The two days of meetings and discussions proved extremely fruitful in achieving our goal to promote our business, including by equipping us with new tools to reach the enormous audience on the web and social media, as well as through traditional communication channels.”
