Under the careful gaze of six-time world champion Max Biaggi, present in the Laguna Seca paddock, the RS 660 bikes operated by team Rodio Racing - Powered by Robem Engineering, entrusted to Rocco Landers and Gus Rodio, were the protagonists of a perfect weekend. Already ahead of the rest in qualifying, with Landers taking his fourth consecutive pole position and Rodio right behind him, the two teammates swept the race on Saturday, monopolising the top two spots and finishing a full 21 seconds ahead of the rider lying third in the championship - Dominic Doyle, on Yamaha.

In the race on Sunday, the RS 660 machines once again had no rivals. First Rodio, with a brilliant start, and then Landers took the race lead, quickly widening the gap ahead of the rest. A crash for Landers during the 11th lap gave Gus Rodio the win, who now has 159 points and the lead in the overall standings, where Rocco Landers is lying third with 141 and still in the mix for the title.

Rocco Landers (bike no. 97), Rodio Racing - Powered by Robem Engineering: “It was a great weekend! Working together, my teammate Gus and I managed to find an outstanding setup for the RS 660 on this track and Saturday was literally perfect. The bike worked extremely well. We are proving to be the fastest in the group and it gets better race after race. Unfortunately, I ruined my weekend on Sunday with a crash, but we’ll continue looking forward to the next round in Pittsburgh.”

Gus Rodio (bike no. 96), Rodio Racing - Powered by Robem Engineering: “An outstanding weekend for the entire team. Rocco and I worked well together. In Race 1, the start wasn’t perfect, but I recovered quickly and managed to maintain a consistent pace with good lap times. I’m especially pleased because, thanks to the win in Race 2, I’m back in the lead in the overall standings and for that I must thank the team and Aprilia who are supporting me.”
