ENCOURAGING FEEDBACK AFTER THE TEST SESSION IN AUGUST. AND TO CHEER IN THE PADDOCK WILL BE THE RIDERS PARTICIPATING IN THE FIRST EDITION OF "APRILIA EXPERIENCE: ROAD TO MISANO" OF THE OFFICIAL APRILIA COMMUNITY BEARACER CLUB, ALONG WITH THE WSBK RIDER LORENZO SAVADORI.
Misano Adriatico (Bologna, Italy), 4 September 2018 – The ultra-Italian Aprilia Racing Team Gresini will be on home turf for the thirteenth race of the season at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. It will be a demanding weekend, prepared for by the team with a test session in August with encouraging feedback. The Italian circuit has a very technical layout where precision and a fluid riding style is the key to being fast. Last year all the races were held on a wet track, whereas the forecast this year (despite some chances for showers during the practice sessions) are promising for a dry Sunday.
In the Aprilia garage, in addition to the usual technical upgrades, Pietro Caprara will be alongside Aleix Espargaró as crew chief until the end of the season.
ALEIX ESPARGARO' (bike no. 41): "I am motivated for the Misano race; it is the home race for Aprilia and everyone wants to do their best. In the test a few weeks ago we went well, we know we have to work because the results at the moment are not what we expect. Precisely for this reason we will also be on track on Monday and Tuesday, to continue the development of the RS-GP."
SCOTT REDDING (bike no. 45): "I like the Misano circuit and the test a couple weeks ago was rather positive. It's always great to race in Italy, both because of the special atmosphere and because of the passionate and friendly fans. The track layout will be demanding for the characteristics of our bike. We'll need to work well throughout the weekend in order to be ready for the race."

THE FIRST "APRILIA EXPERIENCE: ROAD TO MISANO” IS STARTING. IN MOTORCYCLE WITH LORENZO SAVADORI AT THE MOTOGP ON 8-9 SEPTEMBER 2018. The first “Aprilia Experience – Road to Misano” will be staged on September 8th and 9th 2018: a two-day experience in the heart of the engine land, Romagna, offered to a small group of authentic racers like us and to be faced with the own Aprilia motorbike.
Appointment a few steps from the Imola circuit (in the province of Bologna), where the riders will know the trailblazer and an exceptional tour leader: Lorenzo Savadori, rider of the Milwaukee Aprilia World Superbike team! The few lucky participants will be able to follow him on his motorbike through his streets of the heart, the most beautiful of the Romagna Apennines, and chat with him during the succulent lunch break; then, full of folds, they will all together reach the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, stage of the Octo Grand Prix of San Marino and the Riviera of Rimini MotoGP!
In fact, at the arrival of the circuit, a truly racing welcome awaits them: after having collected the Welcome Kit, they will be the protagonists of a Technology Box Tour in the Aprilia Racing Paddock, during which, guided by the Aprilia Racing technical staff, they will be able to touch and know all the secrets of the Aprilia RS-GP. But the beauty has yet to come! Our racers will get to know the Aprilia MotoGP riders in a dedicated meet & greet, to make selfies, autographs and confidences before the race on Sunday!
And to finish the evening with a flourish: a special aperitif in the Paddock at the Aprilia Racing hospitality, before going back to the saddle. Sunday will be the great day of the MotoGP, to watch together cheering Aprilia from the stands, feeling part of the Aprilia Racing Team like no other! "
