Phillip Island, 14 October 2025 - Following a week-long break after the GP of Indonesia, Aprilia Racing is ramping up to tackle the final two extra-European rounds in Australia and Malaysia. This weekend, MotoGP will be making a stop at the spectacular Phillip Island Circuit, the venue for the nineteenth round of the season, with Marco Bezzecchi and Lorenzo Savadori representing Aprilia Racing Team.

Marco Bezzecchi will arrive on Phillip Island fresh from a weekend of ups and downs in Mandalika, where he took pole position with the track record, as well as victory in the Sprint race, followed by a crash in the long race. The Italian rider is determined to confirm his speed and translate his potential into a noteworthy result in Australia as well.

Completing the line-up will be Lorenzo Savadori, back to sub for Jorge Martín, who is still recovering from the injury to his right collarbone suffered in Motegi. The Italian rider will also be taking advantage of the weekend to continue his work developing the RS-GP25.

The Phillip Island circuit, 4,450 metres long, is known for its spectacular setting. The track twists and turns over a reef located in the state of Victoria, surrounded by uncontaminated nature, with 5 right-handers and 7 left-handers. It is one of the least demanding tracks on the brakes, but the unpredictable weather makes for a great challenge for riders and teams.

MARCO BEZZECCHI, #72: “I'm happy to be returning to Australia and I have a great desire to continue doing well. I'll be giving one hundred percent to try and make up for the long race in Mandalika.”

LORENZO SAVADORI, #32: “First of all, I'd like to wish Jorge a quick recovery. I hope he can get back in the saddle as soon as possible. Phillip Island is a gorgeous circuit, and I can't wait to get out on the track. We'll continue working on development of the RS-GP25 and I'll be giving it my all, as always.”

Raul Fernandez #25, Trackhouse MotoGP Team, will race in Australia on an Aprilia RS-GP. The 24-year-old Spaniard says he is highly motivated and determined; in the previous GP in Indonesia, at Mandalika, he achieved his first MotoGP podium (3rd in the Sprint race). Teammate Ai Ogura #79, recovering from injury, hopes to be able to participate in the Australian GP.
