Competing as ‘davideturrisi06’, he has won the first eSport title both for himself and for the Noale-based manufacturer. Danielealoe25 finished in second place with the Ducati Lenovo Team, securing a podium finish in the last round of the eSports season, while PieroRicciuti55 took third place overall, completing his last race of the year with LCR Honda. The all-Italian “winning team’ – Davide Turrisi and Aprilia Racing – really shone, overcoming every obstacle and believing in themselves right until the last. The new MotoGP e-Sport World Champion (19 years old, from Rome) commented on his victory on his Instagram profile: “It’s the end of an amazing season full of emotions, and I still can’t find the words to describe it all, it’s just crazy. I started the year promising myself that I would win... and I’m delighted that I’ve kept that promise and come out on top. This year I felt really strong and, above all, as if I was more prepared mentally. I succeeded in handling each situation calmly and staying focused.

I want to thank Aprilia… for believing in me again this season - I finally managed to achieve this goal with them. I’d also like to thank my family and my closest friends for always being by my side from day one, and for motivating me to improve every day... What can I say, it’s been a fantastic season: out of 9 races, I’ve made it to the podium 7 times and have won 4 races. We’ve brought 2025 to a close by becoming World Champions, and we’re aiming for a repeat performance in 2026.”

INTERVIEW WITH DAVIDETURRISI06.
Congratulations Davide on your well-deserved victory, which adds even greater value to Aprilia Racing's 2025 MotoGP season - the most successful ever. How are you feeling?
“I’m so happy to have won this title with Aprilia. After seeing the other guys do so well in the real-life races, I felt under pressure to succeed myself, and in the end I managed to bring home the title. Feeling like a World Champion is really strange, because you realise you're the best and that makes you feel like you're walking on air!”
How and when did your passion for e-sports come about?
“My passion for eSports began in 2017; back then, I was already following the competitions, and I never missed a single one. Then, in 2023, I managed to become a rider myself, which I was so happy about, because I had achieved a goal that I thought was impossible.”

How do you go about becoming a top-level gamer? Do you have any tips for young hopefuls?
“To become a top-level rider, you need to train a lot. Above all, you have to spend lots of time in front of the screen to really get to know the tracks inside out, and you have to set up the bike so that it is as perfectly suited to you as possible. My advice to younger players who want to become professional gamers is this: always believe in yourself and never give up, even when things get tough - the good times will come, so train hard and don’t stop, even when you run into difficulty.”
As well as “experiencing” the MotoGP on your gaming screens, do you also follow it in real life?
“Sure - I’ve been watching the real-life MotoGP since I was a child, and I have also gone to see the races in person plenty of times. For example, this year I went to the Misano Grand Prix with the Aprilia Racing team: the guys there gave me an experience I will never forget.”
On several occasions, you have met Aprilia Racing's official rider Marco Bezzecchi, and you’ve challenged each other to virtual races. Who won? Did he give you any advice that helped you become the best?
“In the races where we competed against each other, I always won, but that's normal: I do this for a living. Even though if we were competing on real motorbikes... we all know who the winner would be (Bez!). When I met Marco, I asked him loads of questions, for example about how he used the rear brake, how he used the lowering device, and also for some advice on setting up the bike. I’m really glad that his tips helped me out, and I hope that next year we can have another chat, so he can give me some more advice on how to get even better.”
