Aragón (Spain), 30 August 2026 - The weekend at MotorLand Aragón comes to a close with the second podium of the weekend for Aprilia Racing. After starting from pole position, Marco Bezzecchi was a protagonist in the battle for victory throughout the initial stages of the race. The Italian rider then finished third, taking his second podium of the weekend after his Sprint race finish.

Jorge Martín managed his race with determination, staying consistently in the top five and finishing fifth. The Spanish rider maintains the lead in the championship standings with 256 points.

MARCO BEZZECCHI, #72: “All in all, it was a positive weekend and I’m extremely happy. We arrived in Aragón with few expectations because last year we had started from behind. I had done two decent races, but from there to being competitive was a different story.

Instead, this weekend I was fast – first on Friday and pole position on Saturday. I was lacking something in the races but, to be honest, I didn’t even think that I’d be able to make a play for the win, so I’m rather happy. My whole team was astronomically great”.

JORGE MARTÍN, #89: “I’m satisfied with the weekend. The sensations in the race were similar to those of the sprint race, but I think that we still made a step forward. It’s true that I felt better in the race, so much that I did my fast lap at the end of the race. It was a weekend where we built confidence on a track that is extremely complicated for me, and we managed to improve in every session, taking steps forward and understanding what could help me on the track.”

MASSIMO RIVOLA, CEO APRILIA RACING: “A good team result on a track that is not particularly favourable for us. Jorge struggled to find the right feeling throughout the weekend but, despite this, he still maximised the result. Marco took two highly valuable podiums in spite of his physical difficulties. His pole position was also a work of magic that I believe will stand for some time to come. We are well aware that the upcoming circuits are not our favourites on paper, but we can’t wait to go to Misano and feel the warmth of our Italian fans.”
