With the choice of an easy intuitive two-wheeler, the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy is intended to make the race an experience combining pleasure, passion and friendship: open to everyone, the competition has attracted the interest of an extremely varied group of bikers, for some of whom this will be their first time on the racetrack.

Many of the team pairs are two friends, and come from across Italy. Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Abruzzo and Basilicata. The father-daughter Luporacing team – Dario and Eleonora Villa – stands out: he is an expert gentleman rider, she is making her racing debut, and they have decided to share the saddle of their V7 III on the racetrack. Others who have entered competitors include Virgin Radio, whose bike will be manned during the course of the Trophy by a number of riders, including Ringo DJ, and the team from Proraso, a leading name in razors, who have created a “Shave & Race” concept with their racing V7 III. At the Varano weekend, Proraso will also be setting up a Temporary Barber Shop in the paddock, staffed by the Barberia Gibertoni barbers of Modena, to offer bikers and spectators a traditional shave or a trim for beard and moustache.

The Clan team will field a different duo at each race, for a total of ten riders who have already been chosen by the members of the official Moto Guzzi community.

A FORMAT FOR EVERYONE: A CLASSIC ATMOSPHERE, A YOUTHFUL SPIRIT. The original format of the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy is perfect to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, from racetrack novices to the most knowledgeable veteran. CLIP – 24 ORE LE MANS – MOTO ENDURANCE START

The race on Sunday 14 at 4.15 p.m. harks back to the legendary endurance trials of the past, with a “Le Mans”-style start: the bikes will be lined up on one side of the track, and the riders will run across from the other side to jump on and ride off. During the race, each rider will have a time limit of 15 minutes + 2 consecutive laps. Given a race time of 60 minutes, this means there will be at least three rider changeovers, in the pitlane. Points will be awarded to the first 15 teams to finish.

The next races will be held, on the prestigious Italian tracks, at Vallelunga (19 May), Magione (23 June) and Adria (1 September), with the final at Misano on 13 October. Registration to take part in a race is possible up to two weeks before the event, at a cost of 350 Euro per Team.

THE MOTO GUZZI V7 III WITH THE RACING KIT DEVELOPED BY THE GUARESCHI BROTHERS AND SPECIAL PIRELLI TYRES. The Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone, a bike that has won plaudits from an extremely varied public thanks to its manageability and easy riding, was the perfect starting point for the development of a hugely enjoyable two-wheeler for the racetrack, which can be ridden by people with no previous racing experience.

The transformation is achieved with the Racing Kit developed by GCorse for the Guareschi brothers, well known Moto Guzzi preparers. To take part in the race, the bike must necessarily be fitted with this kit, which – in addition to safety devices such as a bellypan and protective casing for the front brake lever – includes a package of functional and aesthetic adaptations: fairing, shield, half-handlebars, complete exhaust system, raised footpegs, side covers, one-seat saddle and rear mudguard, number plate holder, front suspension and rear damper cartridge kit.

There is also a map for the engine control unit and special front brake pads. The kit may be purchased directly from the Guareschi Moto dealer, and costs 3,330 Euro (plus VAT).

The kit also includes a first set of Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp RS tyres, developed specifically by Pirelli, the sole Trophy supplier, for the Moto Guzzi V7 III: this is a high-performance tyre which can be used for an entire race weekend.
