LEXINGTON, OH – 2 AUGUST 2026 – The Aprilia RS 660 remains the machine of choice for the MotoAmerica Twins Cup class, continuing its reign as the category benchmark during the sixth round of the season at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (July 31 – August 2, 2026). Demonstrating the platform’s widespread appeal and competitive edge, 19 of the 39 riders who qualified for the weekend’s races chose the Aprilia RS 660, representing nearly 50% of the highly competitive field.

The weekend began with a statement of intent from championship leader Hank Vossberg and his Robem Engineering Aprilia. Vossberg secured the pole position with a blistering 1:30.006 lap time during Qualifying 2, leading an Aprilia contingent that saw Logan Cunnison (Speed Demon Racing Powered by Ready to Ride) secure P6 on the grid.

The depth of the Aprilia talent pool was on full display during Saturday’s Race 1. Despite "sketchy" weather conditions that saw rain falling as the bikes sat on the grid, Aprilia riders navigated the 2.4-mile circuit to claim five of the top 10 finishing positions. Vossberg secured a vital podium finish in P3, followed by Andrew Weyh (P7 – Weyh Racing), Eli Block (P8 – ECB Racing), Chris Parrish (P9 – Ghetto Customs), and Logan Cunnison (P10).

Sunday’s Race 2 proved to be a masterclass in race craft for Vossberg. After grabbing his first holeshot of the 2026 season, the 15-year-old phenom engaged in a tactical duel at the front of the pack. Setting the fastest lap of the race with a 1:29.789, Vossberg executed a perfectly timed last-lap maneuver to secure the victory by a narrow 0.250-second margin.

The RS 660’s dominance was further cemented with four Aprilias finishing in the top 10, as Weyh (P6), Cunnison (P7), and Block (P9) joined Vossberg in the upper echelon of the results.

Race 2, top ten.
Following his successful weekend in Ohio, Vossberg looks to carry this momentum into the next round at Virginia International Raceway, August 14-16, for the sixth round of the MotoAmerica Twins Cup’s seven round championship. Vossberg leads the championship by an astonishing 63 points over his closest rival, with 100 total points up for grabs in the remainder of the 2026 championship.

Hank Vossberg / Robem Engineering Aprilia: "Great weekend here at Mid-Ohio. We came here last weekend and got some good testing in; got down to the times we wanted and were swinging right out of the gate. The bike felt amazing and we were able to put it on pole. Race one was a little sketchy; we were sitting on the grid, and it started raining. I didn't have the confidence in the bike and didn't need to push and risk making a mistake. I played it smart, and it was a good day for points.

"On Sunday, we got off to a really good start—my first holeshot of the season. I started putting in burners and then turned around on lap four or five and saw an M4 bike there. I saw it was Matthew [Chapin] on his pit board, so I backed it off a little bit and waited until the last lap. I tested out a move off the back straight a couple of laps before and saw I could make it work. On the last lap, we both went in there side-by-side. I braked early because I knew we were going to go in wide. He went deep, we were sliding, and I just out-drove him to the next corner and was able to come out with the win. I can’t thank the team enough for giving me such an amazing 2026 RS 660. It’s been working amazing, and we’ll see if we can get them in Virginia."

Top Ten overall standing after the Ohio round.
