Milan, 3 October 2017 – Borsa Italiana (Italian Stock Exchange) announced the 22 listed companies selected for the Italian Listed Brands showcase. Creativity, excellence, innovation and a vocation for internationalisation growth are the key features of Italian brands: this is why Borsa Italiana has decided to offer investors a new tool to identify the Italian companies with significant brand awareness.
The Italian Listed Brands companies are: Autogrill, Brembo, Brunello Cucinelli, Campari, Damiani, De' Longhi, F.I.L.A., Ferrari, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Geox, Luxottica, Moncler, OVS, Piaggio & C., Pininfarina, Piquadro, Pirelli & C., Safilo Group, Salvatore Ferragamo, Technogym, Tod’s, Yoox Net-A-Porter Group.
The list of names in the showcase was drawn up by Borsa Italiana with the assistance of a panel of industry experts, including Italian and international industrial and financial analysts. In addition to traditional criteria, the selection also considered the companies’ key intangible assets, such as brand perception in their customer base and distinctive positioning in their competitive arena. The list will be the basis for a new dedicated FTSE Russell index to cover the Italian market.
Borsa Italiana CEO Raffaele Jerusalmi said: “The launch of Italian Listed Brands on our market confirms Borsa Italiana’s intention of taking continual action to maximise the profile of the top Italian brands. We are convinced that this new initiative is in line with this objective.
The fact that Borsa Italiana is located in Milan, the city that has been the centre of Italian creativity for hundreds of years in many fields, makes us very credible in the eyes of international investors.”
