April 2023 (G.T.) – The announcement on 4 April 2023 on the Mediastars Facebook page ( www.facebook.com/mediastars.it): “We are pleased to announce the winners of the XXVII edition of the Mediastars Award. Mediastars wishes once again to highlight the value of the professionalism of those who contribute with their efforts to success of a communication project. The XXVII edition boasted the participation of about 600 projects and took advantage of the collaboration of more than 200 professionals who, evaluating the projects remotely, provided indications for the panels convened in presence, who evaluated the finalist projects to assign the Mediastar awards for the individual sections.

Mediastars is divided into four areas which summarise all the communication fields and comprise 12 different sections. The first two areas are dedicated to traditional media (Press & Poster and Audio & Video), the third is dedicated to Corporate Identity conception, Promotions and Packaging Design to promote the communication role carried out by planning, design, and promotion agencies. The final area is dedicated to Digital Communication, Social Media, Internet, Online Advertising, and Apps. The special Non-Profit section is included in each section.”
And, browsing through the winners, a nice double surprise: in the Audio and Video/Institutional Films/Technical Audio-Visual Section, shining brightly were the video by Aprilia Racing 2022, Mediastar 1st place winner – Institutional Films 1st place and Special Star for the director, and the video starring Vespa Elettrica (RED), 2nd place and Creative Direction Special Star.

The Aprilia Racing film was launched in February 2022 on the eve of the last MotoGP season for the bike and team presentation: “It’s showtime! Aprilia Racing presents the team for the new MotoGP World Championship season. ‘It’s showtime’ is the film we created to tell the story of this new challenge in a self-deprecating and easy-going way.
We chose to film it in the splendid Mario del Monaco Theatre of Treviso, with the racing team transformed into an orchestra – as improbable as it was fun – and with Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola busy conducting. The individual becomes a group. And even pretending to be actors for a day can be a team building exercise.”

Vespa Elettrica (RED) was launched at the Eicma 2021 show (and on stage again in the 2022 edition), with the claim “POWE(RED) BY LOVE” and video dedicated to her. “Vespa Elettrica turns red, the colour of (RED), Bono Vox and Bobby Shriver’s global-scale humanitarian project to fight against pandemics.
An assumption of responsibility where VESPA is once again on the front lines: as the star of sustainable mobility, in the concrete commitment for solidarity. The unmistakeable and timeless lines of Vespa Elettrica are framed to perfection – graphically and ethically – between the two brackets of the (RED) logo. And they add an original contribution of beauty.”
