May 2022 - The Historical Gilera Register is organizing for the 4th and the 5th of June 2022 the ‘Gilera meeting’, a Brand event taking place every five years within the Monza Sport Festival (organized by the USSMB). It will take place under the aegis of Federazione Motociclistica Italiana (FMI, Italian Motorcycle Federation) and with the cooperation of Gilera Club Arcore, the Moto Club Monza ‘Oscar Clemencigh’ and the Moto Club Carate Brianza.

The two days activities will be located between the parc of Villa Borromeo Arcore and the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza (in Lombardy region, Northern of Italy); the motorcycles that characterized the production of the Gilera Brand during its long and successful history will parade in the ‘Temple of speed’, that this year turns its first 100 years (it was officially inaugurated on September the 3rd 1922).
The organizational machine of the event is in motion, based on the experiences of the past editions 2000, 2005, 2009 (the last one was pulled one year earlier to celebrate the centenary of the first motorcycle built by Gilera in 1909) and 2015. Seven years after the last reunion, the organizing team is ready to celebrate again with two days of celebration, dedicated to the everlasting passion for the Trademark of the two interwinded rings.
The passion beyond reason: 113 years of history of the Gilera motorcycle; 23 years of history of the Historical Register; 12 countries of our members.

The program of the event shall be carried out as follows.
Saturday 4 June: static exhibition of the Moto Gilera inside the paddock of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza; opening of the photographic, documents and various objects exhibitions related to the history of Gilera inside the Sala del Camino, Municipality of Arcore; opening of the participants’ registration inside the parc of the Villa Borromeo. Sunday 5 June: participants’ registration and opening of the exhibitions; parade of the participants in the streets of the town; participants’ transfer to the Autodromo Nazionale, Monza, entering from Porta Biassono (Santa Maria alle Selve street); participants’ tours on the Monza track, entering from the old boxes; final parade of the Gilera racing machines from the pit lane; gathering of all participants in the area in front of the ‘Variante Ascari’ tribunes for the picnic; return to Arcore, final prize giving in the Villa Borromeo Parc.
