July 2025 (G.T.) – The exciting news has been doing the rounds on the internet for days, reported by specialist magazines worldwide: Scottish actor Ewan McGregor - Hollywood star, passionate motorcyclist and Moto Guzzi ambassador for more than a decade - has decided to sort out his garage, which is home to numerous Moto Guzzi models.

The star of McGregor’s garage “reorganisation”, which is up for sale on eBay, is his 1973 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport, fully restored ten years ago by Cycle Garden (California), a workshop which specialises in vintage Moto Guzzis. The model was also subject to an additional overhaul of the engine just three years back, rendered essential by the “intensive” use of the bike by a stuntman during the filming of a commercial. The engine capacity has been increased to 955cc.

The restoration cost 30,000 US dollars in total, and the starting bid has been set at 46,000 US dollars. Not bad for a customised vintage beauty with a cinematic past (it co-starred with McGregor in the first episode of the TV docu-series “Long Way Home”) and an exceptional owner - it even has his name in the logbook.
