The timeliness of interventions is fundamental to save people and to reduce the impact of accidents and medical emergencies. From 12 January through 29 September 2021, paramedics astride the three-wheeled MP3 “medi-cycle” scooter – in service with Jerusalem First Responders – carried out 2,724 interventions. English translation. After the death of his father, MDA rescuer motorcyclist Ben Peled raised funds to purchase a defibrillator to be placed in a public location. He had no idea that it would later be used to save the life of a 53 year-old man, victim of a heart attack and unconscious. "When I arrived", Ben recalls, "I connected the defibrillator to the patient. In just a few seconds, the equipment detected that it was a heart attack and recommended an electric jolt... we brought him back to life."
The international organisation MDA-Magen David Adom is present in numerous countries, also working alongside special missions. An example is the recent rescue operation in Miami, Florida, following a building collapse.
